I Left American Born Chinese at a Cherry Hill Post Office (And I May Have Accidentally Broken a Law)
Home »
On June 1st, sometime between 2:45 and 3:15 PM, I left a copy of American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang at the Cherry Hill Post Office — 600 Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, NJ.
And I may have technically put it in the book drop.
Here’s the thing: I had 40 pieces of mail to get out. My hands were completely full. So when I walked up to that chute, I just dropped everything I had — including the book — and walked away. It wasn’t until I was back in my car that I thought, wait, is that a crime?
I genuinely don’t know. But I’m glad you found it.
If the police find it, I’m taking the Eddie Murphy defense: “wasn’t me”.
So — what are you going to do with it?
Are you keeping it? Passing it along? Actually reading it? (All valid. Zero judgment.)
If you’re passing it along, make your own video about it and tag me. This is our version of message in a bottle! Who knows where it’ll go.
And if you’re keeping it — that’s great too. Connect with me anyway. I’d love to know what you think of it.
The book found you for a reason. I don’t think that’s nothing.
Everything I’m building — including Text Pals, Vista Seekers, and the podcast — is waiting for you at mylenasutton.com/invitations. Come find your way in.
